The Kwara State Police Command announced on Friday that the three dismissed officers, Mr. Abiodun Kayode, Mr. James Emmanuel, and Mr. Oni Philip, were charged to court on October 16th, 2024.
According to a press release signed by the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, they face charges of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide in connection with the death of Qoyum Abdulyekeen Ishola.
“They have been remanded in prison custody pending further court proceedings, Ejire-Adeyemi said.
Recall that on Monday night, the Kwara State Police Command announced that it will prosecute the three police officers found guilty of the alleged killing of an ND11 student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Qoyum Abdulyekeen Ishola, in a court of competent jurisdiction.
