The FCT Police Commissioner, CP Bala Ciroma has commissioned the 50 PMF Transit Camp Kubwa donated by Mai Foundation and FUNAB Projects Ltd.
Speaking during the commissioning, CP Ciroma said that security is everybody’s business as the donation of the Standard and well furnished Transit Camp at 50 PMF to accommodate Police Personnel is indeed laudable and resonates the common saying that security is everybody’s collective responsibility.
Speaking during the commissioning, the Chairman of Mohammed Ibrahim Ajia Foundation and FUNAB projects Ltd, Alh Muhammed Ibrahim Ajia said the building was donated to support the welfare of Police Personnel as he commend the Police that despite lack of fund, they remained committed to protecting and securing the residents and properties in the FCT.
He also commended the Federal Government for the Police Trust Fund which is aimed at taking care of the welfare of Police Personnel across the country.
Alh Muhammed Ibrahim Ajia called on the Federal Government to make the Pension of Police personnel independent so as to ensure hitch free pension after retirement.
He called on Police Personnel to carry out their duties in manners that will make the general public building confidence in them.
Tree planting was done the FCT Commissioner of Police immediately after the commission of the building.
Dignitaries at the event include FCT Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operation); Commander, 50 MOPOL; Popular Musician, D’Banj; Hon. Abubakar Barde, Representatives of First Bank PLC, Mrs Amina Sadiq among others.
