DCP Akin Fakorede Not Frustrating Justice On River Park Estate, Abuja, Says SWYA

…..requests Kojo Ansah Mensah to appear and respond to accusations of forgery

The South West Youth Alliance has countered the false narrative from one Ghanaian businessman, Kojo Ansah Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of a firm, Houses For Africa.

Responding to a publication in Sahara Reporters titled. “Ghanaian Businessmen Tackle Nigerian IGP Monitoring Team Head, DCP Fakorede, Demand Release Of Abuja Estate Probe Report,” the Publicity Director of the Alliance, Adenike Ajanlekoko, said that Kojo Ansah Mensah is the one rather frustrating justice, as he refused to come forward with the other parties to look into all allegations on the River Park Estate, Abuja

“A letter from Kojo Ansah Mensah’s lawyer says that his client was outside Nigeria, so he won’t be able to attend the resolution meeting called for both parties, but intelligence reports show that Kojo Ansah Mensah was present in Abuja instead of the United States of America, where he claimed he travelled. So, how is the Head of the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit, DCP Akin Fakorede, frustrating justice and stopping work at the River Park Estate, Abuja?

“We state categorically that DCP Fakorede is not biased against any party in the matter, including Kojo Ansah Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of a firm, Houses For Africa, as claimed by Sahara Reporters

“The so-called ‘Special Investigation Panel (SIP)’ under the former head, led by DCP Usman Ahmed Imam, that Kojo Ansah Mensah is clamouring for is full of compromised resolutions.

“It is not true that DCP Fakorede is preparing his own version to suppress the report of the ‘Special Investigation Panel’.” We will write a petition to the Inspector General of Police on Monday, 23rd June 2025, to probe the 11-man committee that compiled the so-called “Special Investigation Panel (SIP)” report, Ajanlekoko stated.

“We challenge the Ghanaian and the lawyers who prepared the documents to come forward to defend the documents submitted in the course of the investigations, as well as come forward with his international passport to prove he was actually in the United States of America as of the date he claimed he was outside the country.

“Both parties in the case were officially invited, but only the lawyers of the other parties showed up. We wondered, how is that now a “plot scheme against the Ghanaian businessmen”? Ajanlekoko stated

“We are calling on Kojo Ansah Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of a firm, Houses For Africa, in the interest of peace, to come and answer the various allegations against him rather than using the media and the court indiscriminately to harass the Nigeria police and its personnel, the statement concluded.
