The Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has debunked the picture circulating on social media with the caption “I Just Saw A Troop Of Deadly Looking Men On Over 30 Motorbikes Carrying Automatic Riffles Entering Abuja From Kogi Axis. Let’s Stay Safe As Much As We Can.”
In a swift response on his verified Twitter handle, Adejobi said “Not true. These were policemen and hunters on patrol in Abuja. They were mobilized to embark on aggressive patrol along some routes in the FCT. The CP FCT, Sunday Babaji, made this move. So disregard this news or video. Thanks.”
Recall that the FCT Police Command has commenced an investigation into the sources of a series of erroneous writeups and publications making the rounds, especially on social media spaces.
