Engineer Sule Pays Sallah Homage To Traditional Rulers

……………Tasks Muslims on sustaining spirit of Ramadan

Nasarawa State governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has paid the traditional Sallah homage to palaces of some traditional rulers in the state, where he urged the Muslim faithful to sustain the spirit of the month of Ramadan.

Engineer Sule who returned to the state Friday, after his trip to Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj, took time to visit the Emir of Keffi, the Aren Eggon, the Sarkin Kwandere before rounding up at the palace of the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage (rtd).

While presenting the traditional Sallah gifts to the traditional rulers, the governor urged Muslim faithful to sustain the spirit of the Ramadan characterized by being piety, prayerful and desirous of keeping Allah’s injunction.

According to the governor, with the Eid-el-fitr celebration marking the end of the Ramadan fast, Muslim faithful must endeavour to sustain the spirit of pity and fear of Allah demonstrated throughout the holy month.

In Keffi, Engineer Sule used the opportunity of the visit to thank the Emir of Keffi, HRH Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, for honouring him with the traditional title of the Ajiyan Keffi, stressing that the gesture would further strengthen ties among not only the people of Keffi and Gudi but across the entire state.

Engineer Sule stopped over twice on his way back to Lafia, to pay homage to the Aren Eggon, HRH Dr Bala Angbazo, at his palace in Nasarawa Eggon, before arriving Kwandere where he met with the Sarkin Kwandere, HRH Ahmadu Al-makura.

At the palace of Sarkin Kwandere, the governor expressed appreciation for a similar honour done to him when he was recently turbaned as the Turakin Gwandara.

In Lafia, the governor, appreciated the Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, HRH Justice Sidi Bage, for his tremendous role in ensuring security and lasting peace across the state.
