The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, on Thursday, 29th January 2024, received and interacted with the newly posted Area Controller of the Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Controller Comfort Senas Ukpanah, who paid him a courtesy and familiarization visit in his office at the State Command Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.
The CP, while warmly receiving the Controller, assured her of the Police’s continued willingness to foster close and productive interagency collaboration with the Customs Service in Enugu State. He stressed that his door will always be open for a mutually beneficial working relationship with the Customs Service.
Earlier in her remarks, the Controller informed the Commissioner that the essence of the visit was to formally familiarize and solicit the strengthening of the existing interagency collaboration between the Customs Service and the Police in Enugu State. She noted that a stronger collaborative working relationship will help both agencies achieve their respective statutory mandates, particularly as it concerns national security.
The Commissioner was joined by members of his management to receive and interact with the Controller and members of her entourage.
