………implore residents to report all suspicious movement
The FCT Police Command has arrested three suspects for armed robbery along Utako and Lugbe axis.
In a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusuf Mariam, she said that amongst the suspects are: Rabiu Mohammed 33 years and Justin Tondo 32 years and Matthew John 30 years arrested by Police Operatives from the Command’s Anti-Violent Crimes Unit and Anti-Car Theft Unit during routine patrols between Tuesday 30th March-Thursday 1st April 2021.
She further said that the suspects confessed to terrorizing Lugbe and Utako axis while exhibits recovered from them are: one locally made pistol, one silver coloured Honda Accord snatched from their victim at gunpoint and one Honda motorcycle.
The command spokesperson said that all the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
Consequently, the Command enjoins residents remain law-abiding while reaffirming its unflinching commitment towards the protection of lives and property.
The Command implores residents to report all suspicious movements, emergency or distress to the Police.
