FCT Police Arrest Suspects For Armed Robbery, Drug Trafficking And Vehicle Theft

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested several suspects involved in armed robbery, drug trafficking, and vehicle theft following a string of coordinated, intelligence-led operations carried out between October 9 and 18, 2025.

According to a press release signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, The operations, executed by the Command’s Scorpion Squad alongside the Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mabushi Divisions, led to the arrest of multiple criminal suspects across different parts of the FCT.

Among those apprehended were Manaseh Emmanuel (36), Dogora Ibrahim (21), and Ibrahim Idamusa (40), members of a notorious armed robbery gang allegedly led by Ibrahim Yakubu, a.k.a. “Ycome”, who is currently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

In a related operation, operatives from Life Camp Division arrested Umar Abubakar, Iliyasu Ibrahim, Usman Ibrahim, and Alkasim Abubakar, suspected members of a ten-man robbery syndicate linked to multiple violent attacks in Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mpape areas of Abuja.

The Mabushi Division also nabbed Bello Mohammed Tambuwal for the theft of a 2019 Toyota Corolla, while Paul Onogwu was intercepted with 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.

Items recovered from the suspects include:

* One cutlass
* One sword
* One jackknife
* One Toyota Land Cruiser (stolen during armed robbery)
* One black 2019 Toyota Corolla (Chassis No: JTNK4RBE1K3054902)
* One Toyota Camry (Reg. No: KRD 391 JF)
* Fifteen bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dantawaye Miller, lauded the officers and men for their professionalism and commitment, urging all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to intensify efforts in ridding the FCT of criminal elements.

He reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to “hit hard on criminals until every hideout is uncovered,” and called on residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through the Command’s emergency lines: 08061581938, 08032003913, or the Complaint Response Unit (CRU): 08107314192.
