FCT Police Arrest Three Infamous Bandits/Kidnappers In Successful Operation

… CP commits to ongoing fight against crime in the FCT.

In a determined effort to eliminate criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory and surrounding areas, the FCT Police Command, under the strategic direction of Commissioner Ajao S. Adewale, has made a significant breakthrough by apprehending three notorious and wanted kidnappers and bandits.

According to a press release from SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, the arrests occurred on June 29, 2025. This operation was based on actionable intelligence and was expertly executed by ACP Victor O. Godfrey, covering areas in Wukushi and Mpape within the FCT, as well as Rigina in Kaduna State. The suspects arrested include Abdulkadir Abubakar from Mpape, Mohammed Tasiu Sani, 25, from Rigina, and Suleiman Jibrin, 27, from Sabon-Gayan in Kaduna State.

These individuals were linked to dangerous camps situated in the Kachia and Rigina forests, where they held victims for extended periods. They are also believed to be connected to several kidnapping incidents in Jere, Kajuru, and parts of the Federal Capital Territory.

During the operation, law enforcement officials seized an operational motorcycle, known locally as a “Boko Haram motorcycle”. Investigations are ongoing to recover additional weapons and to apprehend other fleeing associates.

The suspects are currently in custody and are aiding police efforts to dismantle their criminal organisation. Their capture represents a significant step forward in the Command’s ongoing mission to restore safety and security throughout the territory.

While the Commissioner commends the courage and dedication of the police officers involved, he calls on residents to contribute to the fight against crime by providing credible information.
