The FCT Police Command has commences issuance of Police Accoutrements to all Divisions and formation within the Command.
According to a press release signed by the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh ANIPR, she said that the distribution was in fulfillment of the Inspector General of Police directives towards kitting and Re-kitting Men of the Nigeria Police Force across the country.
“This follow the heels of the Commissioner of Police lecture held on the 17th March 2022, warning all personnel to desist from the use of unapproved or incomplete dressing especially during operations, the statement said.
It will be recalled that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, last month stated that the welfare of the Nigeria police personnel is paramount to the force leadership, urging officers and men to imbibe the habit of proper and clean turn-out to uphold the sanctity of the noble profession.
The IGP therefore ordered the immediate distribution of Police Uniforms, Kits and accoutrements which the Force recently procured, to various Zones, Commands and Formations in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for onward issuance to personnel of the Force.
