The FCT Police Command has paraded various criminals arrested within the Federal Capital Territory, as part of measures to guarantee the delivery of quality security services to residents and stakeholders of the FCT.
While parading the suspects, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) FCT, DCP Sunday Babaji said that the Command deployed diverse overt/covert crime fighting and prevention strategies, which include patrols, raids, visibility operations, collaboration with sister agencies and partnership with key community stakeholders will definitely nip crime in the bud within the FCT.
Nineteen suspects were arrested for various offences ranging from Armed Robbery, Illegal Possession of Firearm, Fraudulent Employee, One Chance Robbery, Drug Peddler while various exhibits recovered includes: 4Dane Guns; 5 Locally Made Pistols; 3 Locally Fabricated Revolvers; 1 Short Gun; 28 Ammunition; 4 Phones; 2 Cars; 1 Motorcycle; Indian Hemp and other items
They were arrested in several part of Abuja; Nyanya, Dutse-Alhaji, Ushafa-Gwagwa, Katampe, Dappe-Life Camp, Gwagwa, Tunga Maje, Kuje and Kwali axis.
DCP Sunday Babaji used the opportunity to thank the Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Minister of the FCT, Mallam Muhammed Musa Bello for their unflinching support of the FCT Command.
All the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
