The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Sunday Babaji, paid a visit to the Kuje Correctional Facility on Tuesday to provide the highest level of security in and around Abuja.
CP Babaji was received by the Deputy Comptroller 0f Correction, DCC Shehu.
The CP addressed the staff and security personnel, which included the Conventional Police, 21/50 PMF, CTU, Military, DSS, Warders, and Immigration posted at the facility, urging them to work together as a team, be proactive and professional in their interactions with members of the public, and protect the facility and inmates to achieve the same objective.
Meanwhile, the reconstruction work at the facility is in progress.
Recall that the operation G-7 States, comprised of the Police, Army, Air Force, Navy, DSS, NSCDC, NDLEA, Immigration, Nig. Correctional Service, and Vigilantes group/Hunters, was previously launched by the Commissioner of Police at FOB 176 Guards Battalion Kwali Area Council with the goal of clearing operations of kidnappers/bandits within the FCT and the neighbouring States.
