The FCT Police Command has confirmed the murder of a man identified as Usman Hammed, when he was jogging at Laris Estate in the Idu Karmo area of Abuja on Sunday, 25th December 2022.
According to our source, Usman left his home around 7 am for exercise and never returned.
His friends and family made several attempts to reach him but proved abortive.
The missing case was then reported at the Karmo Divisional Police Headquarters. After which a search party by the police later discovered his body with visible injuries.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of FCT Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, said the victim was confirmed dead by experts on the crime scene who were present to remove the corpse and take necessary preliminary investigation actions.
She added that the FCT Commissioner of Police CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar has directed the Division of jurisdiction and all other Investigative and intelligence assets of the Command to exert their full weight on the case to unravel the situation that surrounds his death and bring the perpetrators to book.
