The Federal Governent has renewed the appointment of Mr. Freeborn Okhiria as Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation for another four-year term.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr. Eric Ojiekwe, said the appointment renewal was made known by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani.
“President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR vide letter Ref: No SH/COS/17/A/1698 dated 5th October, 2020 has approved the renewal of appointment of Engr. Freeborn Edetanlaen Okhiria, as the Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), in accordance with the relevant section of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Act. Cap 129, LFN, 200,”the statement reads in part.
Mr. Okhiria who was first appointed as MD of the corporation on 24th October, 2016 would continue his second tenure effective 20th October, 2020.
