…..Charges Personnel to be more committed to ensuring Free, Fair, and Peaceful Election
The Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba has enhanced the operational capacity of the Zamfara State Police Command through the deployment of additional Manpower, Operational vehicles, Non – lethal weapons, Personnel Protective Equipment, and Anti – Riot Equipment from Force Headquarters, Abuja ahead of March 18th, 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections.
According to a press release on Thursday, 16th March 2023 signed by the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, said that the Commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf while expressing appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police for his intervention to the Command, also called on officers and men to redouble their effort and work towards achieving the mandate of conducting credible, fair and hitch free election in the state.
The CP also tasked Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, DPOs, and all officers and men deployed for election security duty to be neutral, firm, and steadfast to ensure the Command consolidates on the success recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
The CP further charged the general public to be law-abiding and desist from any act capable of causing unrest in the state, and at the same time, continue to pray for the peaceful conduct of the elections in the state and country in general.
