Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of Engr. Mohammed Kabir is the Sole Administrator, of Gombe International Airport.
According to a press release on Friday, 16th December 2022 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that the appointment, as conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, is with immediate effect.
The Sole Administrator, according to the SSG, is among other functions, mandated to take inventory of personnel and equipment, and prepare the Airport for handing over to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN.
He is also mandated to manage all activities and transactions at the Airport pending the handover as well as prepare the process of procuring a scanning machine for the Airport.
