Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has congratulated Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu on his emergence as the new National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), following the successful conclusion of the union’s 7th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference in Gombe, tagged ‘ Gombe 2025′.
The Governor also extended his felicitations to all newly elected executive members of the union, urging them to work together to reposition RATTAWU as a model of unity and innovation in Nigerian labour ecosystem.
The Northern States Governors’ Forum Chairman expressed optimism that under the new leadership, RATTAWU will witness renewed energy and greater professionalism in the
broadcast, theatre and arts industries.
While expressing pride in Gombe State’s role as host of the prestigious NDC, the Governor thanked RATTAWU for choosing the state and for conducting a peaceful, transparent and well-coordinated event.
“We are honoured to have hosted this important conference. The peaceful and disciplined conduct of delegates reflects the union’s maturity and commitment to camaraderie,” he said.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya reaffirmed his administration’s continued support for programmes that promote media excellence, workers’ rights and the creative economy.
