Gov. Inuwa Yahaya Leads Gombe Delegation On Condolence Visit To Jigawa Over Demise Of Gov. Namadi’s Mother, Son

Earlier today, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led a delegation from the Gombe State Government on a condolence visit to Kafin Hausa town in Jigawa State over the passing of Governor Umar Namadi’s mother, Hajiya Maryam, and his son, Abdulwahab.

In his condolence remarks, the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum expressed deep sympathy to Governor Namadi, urging him to find solace in the face of such profound losses.

He noted that the tragedy of losing a mother and a grown-up son within such a short period is an extraordinary test of faith, calling for intense and sustained prayers to cope with the trauma and particularly urging the family to find solace in the divine words: “What Allah takes belongs to Him, and what He gives is also His, for everything occurs at its appointed time according to His will.”.

“As Muslims, we firmly believe that Allah’s destiny cannot be questioned. On this note, I urge you to remain steadfast and embrace Allah’s will.

“On behalf of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and the Government of Gombe State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to you and the people of Jigawa State. May Allah forgive their souls and grant them Aljannat Firdaus.”

In his response, Governor Umar Namadi expressed gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for identifying with him and the Jigawa State Government during their moment of grief.

“Your Excellency, just a week ago, you were in Jigawa State to attend my daughter’s wedding, Fatiha, and now you are here again to sympathise with us over the tragic losses of our mother and son. This demonstrates your love for us and your exceptional leadership style. We cannot thank you enough, Your Excellency,” Governor Namadi said.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya was accompanied on the condolence visit by the Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo; Hon. Umar Adamu; the Chief of Staff, Government House, Abubakar Inuwa Kari; the Executive Secretary, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sa’ad Hassan; and other top government officials.
