Dr. Doyin Okupe has called on the president of Nigerian, Muhammadu Buhari’s government to put a halt to the selling of recharge cards.
Dr. Doyin Okupe posted this on his twitter page on Tuesday and said that the business of selling the cards can go a long way to provide jobs for the unemployed in the country.
He also said banks are not to be in retail business and that Micro Small and Medium Enterprises must be protected.
Dr. Okupe wrote;
“Govt must stop Banks from selling of RECHARGE cards. This business is worth about N10B/day& can provide jobs for 5m youths nationwide and reduce unemployment. Banks should not be in the retail business where they strangulate small individual traders. Govt must protect MSMEs.”
