Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has been conferred with the traditional title of Sodangin Tula by the Mai Tula, His Royal Highness, Abubakar Atare Buba.
According to a press release on Monday, 14th November 2022 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that the letter of the conferment was delivered to the Governor by a delegation led by Chairman Tula and District Head of Baule, Ibrahim Hassan in the company of the Majority Leader of Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Ladan Yarima Gaule.
The monarch, according to the leader of the delegation, conferred the title of Sodangin Tula on the Governor in recognition of his love for the Tula nation, and in particular, his contributions to the development and well-being of the people of the area through the provision of roads and other social amenities.Â
Chairman Waja, while delivering the letter, commended Governor Inuwa’s developmental strides across the state within the first term of his stewardship and pledged their unflinching support and loyalty to his administration.Â
While accepting the title, Governor Inuwa thanked the Mai Tula for the honour, assuring them that he will hold the chieftaincy title in high esteem just as he holds the traditional institution.
