The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the lifting of the curfew earlier imposed on the LGA, given the improvement of the security situation in Billiri Local Government Area.
According to a press release on Friday, 16th December 2022 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who announced the new development, said the lifting of the curfew also follows advice by security agencies.
The Governor, according to the SSG urged the people of Billiri Local Government Area and the State, in general, to remain law-abiding citizens and continue to be peaceful in carrying out their lawful activities.
The statement also directed all security agencies as well as the general public to ensure strict compliance.
