Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON has expressed profound sadness over the demise of Alhaji Babayo Muhammad Dan’iya, a Gombe-based politician.
According to a press release on Thursday, 18th July 2024 signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Gombe Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late Babayo as a humble, sincere and principled grassroots politician, renowned for his commitment to his beliefs and the development of Gombe State.
He reflected on Alhaji Babayo’s contributions, as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he played a major role in the party’s victory in the 2023 general elections.
The Governor also reminisced about Babayo’s previous work as the Public Relations Officer of the Gombe State Water Board, where he served diligently.
“We have lost a grassroots politician, a sincere, patient and passionate gentleman who dedicated his life to the service of his community and our dear state”.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members, friends, and associates of the deceased.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
