The Integrity Youth Alliance Management has congratulated the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mal. Mele Kolo Kyari, on his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Engineering (Honoris Causa) by the Federal University of Technology Minna in recognition of his enormous contributions to national development.
Kyari was given the Honour at the University’s 30th convocation ceremony held on Wednesday.
Also honoured are General Abdulsalami Abubakar, GCFR, Former Head of State, Federal Republic of Nigeria; Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, CON, President, African Development Bank; and Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, CON, Founder and Chairman, BUA Group..
According to the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Group, Adewole Kehinde, he said the Honorary Degree conferred on Mal Mele Kyari was a testament to his commitment to nation-building and upliftment of humanity through the Gas and Oil Industry.
The Federal University of Technology, Minna is a Federal Government owned University in Nigeria. It was established on 1st February 1983. The objective of its establishment is to give effect to the Nation’s drive for the much-needed self-reliance in Science, Engineering, and especially Technology. It is a specialized University of Technology.
