The NNPC Ltd. on Sunday announced that beyond the three bodies found in the ill-fated helicopter operated by East Winds Aviation that crashed on Thursday in Port Harcourt, no other bodies have been recovered.
According to a press release on Sunday, 27th October 2024 signed by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd., Abuja, Olufemi Soneye the Company further notes that intensified search and rescue operations for the remaining bodies along with relevant authorities is still ongoing.
“Once again, our hearts and prayers are with family members of this unfortunate incident.
Recall that the crashed helicopter is a Sikorsky SK76 with registration 5NBQG, had a total of eight persons on board.
Reports say the helicopter which took off from Port Harcourt Military Base (DNPM) to the FPSO – NUIMS ANTAN oil rig crashed at 11:22 a.m. along the waterways in Port Harcourt.
