….Will not bring shame home

Newly inaugurated Senator representing Bayelsa Central in the National Assembly, Moses Cleopas, says he is getting fired up to give quality and effective representation to the people of his constituency.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service at the Living Faith Church, Azikoro Branch, Yenagoa on successful inauguration as a senator and dedication of his set of twins delivered thirteen years after marriage, Senator Cleopas, said God was at the centre of the double celebration in his family.

The Senator who recently won election to fill the seat vacated by incumbent Governor, Senator Douye Diri, recounted the emergence of Diri as Governor after all the issues that surrounded the November 16th Governorship Election and said his eyes were now open to believe the God factor in politics.

“By this time last year, you all knew what the atmosphere was like in Bayelsa State. I went back to God and we prayed hard as the then State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Who will believe that today I will stand for election and here I am as an elected Senator of the Federal Republic. Our God is great; a miracle God indeed”, he said.

Senator Cleopas, who is an ordained Pastor at the branch, said he clearly understands his role as a representative of the people and assured them that he will not fail, insisting that, “I am booting now, getting ready and just give me some time, you will see me in practical action.

I will not bring shame to you all. I know the issues confronting us as Ijaw people. We shall raise our voice loud to address some of the injustices done to us ”.

On the dedication of his twin, Cleopas, said his entire family were grateful for the bundle of blessing that arrived after thirteen years of marriage.

“Our God is awesome. He showed up big for us after many years of marriage. All we have to say is to say thank you father. And it is a double celebration for us today. God is great”, Cleopas stated.

The First Lady of the State, Dr. Mrs. Gloria Diri, who graced the double church thanksgiving, appreciated God for the blessing upon the family of Senator Cleopas and urged Christian faithful to always put their trust in God.
