The newly constructed and furnished dormitories and tailoring department at the Police College Kaduna were officially opened by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Baba Alkali, on Wednesday.
The tailoring department will supply the fabric and stitch the outfits for the police trainees, which would undoubtedly enhance Nigeria’s policing system.
Recalled that the Inspector-General of Police on Tuesday, 4th October 2022, officially commissioned one of over 120 Ultramodern Divisional Police Headquarters alongside six units of flats, in Kurudu of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
IGP Usman Alkali Baba in line with his administration’s policing agenda set out upon his appointment as the 21st indigenous Inspector-General of Police has effectively completed the construction of over 198 projects including more than 120 modern police stations, barracks, and other vital police buildings around the country, as part of efforts to fight crimes and criminality via improved morale-boosting welfare packages and anti-crime psychology of officers, as well as offer policing services in conformity with international best practices.
The IGP is expected to commission some projects in Jigawa, Katsina, Yobe, and the Borno States, while other projects across the six geopolitical zones will be commissioned as soon as possible.
