In his commitment to enhancing professionalism through continual learning, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the fifth edition of the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers across the nation.
The IGP made this known during the IGP Conference with Senior Police Officers in Abuja on Tuesday.
The conference and retreat are scheduled to be held at Abeokuta, Ogun State, from November 25 to November 28, 2024.
According to the IGP, will provide a vital platform for deep reflection, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning aided by senior officers of the rank of Commissioners of Police and above, as well as other strategic police managers.
The statement reads, “The retreat will enable us to evaluate our strengths, pinpoint areas for improvement, and realign our goals with the evolving needs of the Nigerian populace.
This gathering will be pivotal in preparing us for the challenges of 2025 and beyond, reinforcing our commitment to the modernization and ongoing reform of the Nigerian Police Force

It added that the retreat will enable the officers to synergise with officers from sister security agencies and national and international development partners on improving security & security-related issues in the country.
Furthermore, distinguished guests expected at the event include State Governors, Service Chiefs, Heads of other Security Agencies, the President of INTERPOL, past Inspectors-General of Police, Traditional Rulers, and other Community leaders, including youths, the press and CLOs.
