IGP Egbetokun Directs PR, Communication Trainings For Recruits

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered immediate public relations, human relations, and communication training for the 10,000 recruits on training across the 17 training institutions of the Force.

According to a press release signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP gave the directive to the Force PR Department to design a robust course outline in this regard and ensure the new intakes imbibe the culture and principles of PR, human relations, and communication with a view to improving their professional skills towards quality service delivery.

Recall the Nigeria Police Force has said the 10,000 newly recruited constables and specialists who are currently undergoing training will be deployed in February 2025.

It said the recruits would be deployed in their states of origin in line with the Federal Government’s community policing initiative.

Following a recruitment exercise, the Police Service Commission in June released a list of 10,000 successful applicants for employment.
