At a symposium and award event organized by the Women of Virtue Initiative under the leadership of Chief Ms. Oluwakemi Adefolu, the President of Women Arise, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, urged women to remain committed to their pursuit of purity by presenting their bodies as a living sacrifice to the highest God.
She gave the charge at the maiden edition of the program, where women who have distinguished themselves against all odds in a society where patriarchy is a way of life gathered to encourage, celebrate, and inspire the younger generation.
She cited her personal experiences in life that helped shape her views about life.
The climax of the event was the presentation of an award to the International Women of Courage award recipient by Chief Ms. Oluwakemi Adefolu.
Prominent tourist scion Dr. Raphael James and the foremost female talking drummer, Ara, were honoured as well.
