Loogun of Loogn Timi Edeland, Oba Kabir Ajibade Anikunniwon Ajagungbade 111 and other traditional chiefs, community leaders in Ife-Odan, Awo and Ofatedo, today expressed deep appreciation to Rep Bamidele Salam for his concerted efforts towards upliftment of standard of education in Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency.
The commendation came as the Lawmaker handed over completed blocks of classrooms with furniture he facilitated to ease off pressure associated with dearth of learning space in secondary schools located in these communities.
The secondary schools that are beneficiaries of this batch of facilities are; Anglican Grammar School, Ife-Odan in Ejigbo Local Government, Alawo Grammar School, Awo, in Egbedore Local Government, Laminisa Grammar School in Ede South Local Government and St George’s Grammar School, Ofatedo in Egbedore Local Government.
Rep Bamidele who promised to do all within his legislative capacity to address mirage of challenges placed before him in each of the schools, also urged well meaning groups and individuals to come to the aid of education of young lads, especially in rural communities, as most of the learning environments are outrightly not conducive for productive results.
This call according to him, became necessary so as not to place the innocent students at a very high disadvantage compared to their counterparts in urban centers and other private institutions of learning. He also admonished the students in each of the schools not to be discouraged by challenges of their immediate educational environment but grind them into stepping stones for greater heights in their lives.
School principals and Chairmen of governing councils of the schools who were on ground to receive Rep Bamidele Salam and his entourage, also gave him a pat on the back for his passion and undiluted vision for quality education in the federal constituency.
