In a heartfelt message to the Muslim community, Mohammed Musa Maikaya, Chief Executive Officer of the Maikaya Development Foundation, has extended his warm greetings for Eid-el-Kabir, calling for national cohesion and reflection on the core values represented during this sacred season.
As Muslims across Nigeria celebrate the Festival of Sacrifice, Maikaya emphasised the importance of sacrifice, obedience, and charity, virtues that are central to the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim. He urged fellow Nigerians to embrace these principles in their daily lives, promoting peace, tolerance, and justice in the community.
“In this season of reflection, let us focus on obeying Allah’s instructions and strive to uphold the values of peace and charity,” Maikaya stated. He underscored the need for prayers and unity, encouraging citizens to work towards sustained peace within Nasarawa State and across the nation.
The CEO reaffirmed his commitment to fostering good governance and peaceful coexistence among the diverse ethnic groups within the state, asserting that such efforts are vital for the region’s development. He also encouraged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which he believes is taking genuine steps to tackle Nigeria’s challenges.
Praising the administration of Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Maikaya lauded the governor’s developmental initiatives and urged residents to engage with projects aimed at transforming Nasarawa State into a competitive entity among its peers.
To the youth, he offered words of wisdom, urging them to reflect thoughtfully during this festive period. “This celebration should be a time for unity, not division. Organize peacefully and make your celebration meaningful,” he advised.
In closing, Maikaya wished the Muslim Ummah a blessed Sallah, praying that Allah accepts their sacrifices and fills their hearts with peace, prosperity, and joy. He expressed hopes for a sacred and soulful Eid ul-Adha celebration for all.
