… assures of completing Nembe-Brass Road
… appreciates the King of Ogbolomabiri for restoring peace and order
The Governor of Bayelsa State and PDP candidate for the 2023 governorship election, Senator Douye Diri today took his campaign to Okoroma and Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Constituency One.
Thousands of political stakeholders, elders, women, and youths came out in their numbers to welcome the PDP campaign team.
The Governor restated his commitment to the completion of the Nembe-Brass Road when re-elected for a second term, stating that the road when completed will open up investments in the blue economy.
The governor also commended the King of Ogbolomabiri, His Eminence, Edmund Daukoru for ensuring peace reigns in the land.
“First of all, I want to appreciate His Eminence for keeping the peace in Ogbolomabiri. You know without peace there can be no development. We are here to bring development to Ogbolomabiri because there is peace in the land. And I assure you that in my second term, we will complete the Nembe-Brass Road project.
I have also come to seek your blessings and support for my re-election. You know we have done very well. You don’t change a winning team. So, on behalf of my Deputy and campaign council, we seek for your blessings and support.”
Among various political leaders from Nembe Constituency One who spoke at the rally are Former Deputy Governor, Gboribiogha John Jonah, Senator Nimi Barigha Amange, Hon. George Braah, Hon. David Alagoa, Hon. Ebi Ben Ololo, and Hon. Gabriel Jonah all reaffirming their solidarity for the re-election of Governor Douye Diri.
They all agreed that Governor Diri has proven to be a true friend and brother of the Nembe people.
They pledged to give their total support to the governor.
