Nana Kazaure Responds To Kenneth Okonkwo’s Criticism Of Peter Obi

In a recent statement, Nana Kazaure addressed the fiery comments made by actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo regarding former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi. Kazaure, who typically refrains from engaging in public disputes, felt compelled to respond due to what he described as Okonkwo’s “distractive drama and inconsistency”.

Kazaure began by posing a series of rhetorical questions aimed at Okonkwo’s assertions. “Since when did one’s refusal to shed the blood of Nigerians on the streets become betrayal?” he queried. He further referenced former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s stance on prioritising the lives of Nigerians over political ambition, suggesting that if Okonkwo views Obi’s position as treachery, then similar accusations could be levied against Jonathan.

Drawing attention to Okonkwo’s past association with Obi, Kazaure questioned who could truly be labelled as a traitor in this political saga. “I have no doubt whatsoever that every day, in public and in private, Mr. Okonkwo is confronted by the overwhelming feelings of the people in his recent direction vituperation,” he claimed, hinting at a possible internal conflict within Okonkwo regarding his criticism.

Kazaure concluded with a light-hearted but pointed reminder for Okonkwo to focus on his own political path, saying, “As we say in local parlance, kindly please ‘face your front and Anlay-lay from here.'”

The exchange highlights the ongoing political tensions and differing ideologies within Nigeria’s political landscape as figures like Kazaure and Okonkwo navigate their public personas and affiliations.
