….. Recover Stolen Truck Head
The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested three suspected car thieves and recovered a stolen truck head following a swift intelligence-led operation.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, , credible information was received in the early hours of December 4, 2025, indicating that a truck head had been stolen. Detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit immediately launched an investigation and, by about 9:00 p.m. the same day, successfully apprehended three suspects allegedly connected to the crime. The stolen vehicle was also recovered.
Preliminary findings revealed that the truck head was stolen from Awka in Anambra State and driven to Lafia, where the suspects allegedly intended to sell it to unsuspecting buyers before police operatives intercepted them. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing members of the syndicate.
The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, psc, mnips, commended the operatives for their swift and professional response. He urged the rightful owner of the vehicle to visit the Command Headquarters on Shendam Road, Lafia, with valid proof of ownership to reclaim the recovered truck.
He further reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while appreciating the continuous support and cooperation extended by the public to the Nigeria Police Force.
