The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has extended his warm felicitations to all Muslim faithful in the state as they mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, signifying the conclusion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
According to a press release on Saturday March 29, 2025 signed by the Nasarawa State Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, he urges residents to use this period to pray for peace and the continued stability of Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
To ensure a safe and secure celebration, the Command has implemented comprehensive security measures. Over 4,000 police personnel have been strategically deployed to safeguard lives and property before, during, and after the festivities. Security coverage will be reinforced at Eid prayer grounds and recreational centers, with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit conducting pre-prayer sweeps of all Eid grounds.
Additionally, traffic wardens have been stationed to ensure smooth vehicular movement, while the Command’s tactical teams will maintain extensive highway patrols to guarantee the safety of travelers. Undercover operatives have also been deployed to gather intelligence and neutralize any potential security threats.
The Commissioner of Police urged all residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious during the celebrations.
