Nasarawa State Police Command Retrains Newly Passed-Out Police Constables

…..As CP Shetima emphasizes civility and adherence to the rule of law

In line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, on continuous training to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery, the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima J. Moh’d, today received a total of three hundred and seven (307) newly passed-out Police Constables following their completion of a three-week intensive training at the Mobile Force Training College, Ende-Hills, Nasarawa State.

According to a press release on Monday, 3rd March 2025, signed by the Nasarawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, during the training, the officers received specialized instruction in weapon handling/musketry, combat craft, ambush and counter-ambush tactics, tactical retrogression, and search-and-rescue operations.

While addressing the personnel before deployment to various duty posts, CP Shetima lectured them on Force Order 237, emphasizing the appropriate use of firearms and the importance of maintaining discipline, professionalism, and integrity.

He urged them to be civil in their interactions with the public, dedicated to duty and committed to upholding the core values of the Nigeria Police Force. He also warned against any form of corruption or misconduct that could tarnish the force’s reputation.

Furthermore, the Commissioner reassured the personnel that training and retraining will be a continuous process to align with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police in fostering attitudinal change, enhanced proficiency in policing, and the establishment of a professional, service-oriented, and law-compliant police force.
