The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing a new leadership team for the Commission and the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), pledging to work closely with them to advance the country’s digital economy.
In a statement signed by the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Aminu Maida, the Commission congratulated Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe, Chairman-designate of the NCC Board, alongside other designate Board members and USPF appointees.
Describing the appointees as individuals of proven competence with vast experience and impressive track records, the NCC expressed confidence that their expertise and strategic insight would strengthen the Commission’s regulatory functions and drive growth in Nigeria’s communications sector.
Dr. Maida assured that the NCC would collaborate with the new Board and its supervising ministry to actualise the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the nation’s digital economy.
