National Emergency Management Agency has delivered relief items to victims of flood in Yobe state. NEMA’s Director-General Mustapha Habib Ahmed said the donation was to complement the state government’s effort in assisting the flood victims.
The DG was represented by NEMA’s Deputy Director, Human Resources, Alhaji Muhammed Kanar. In appreciation of the gesture, the representative of Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni commended the Federal Government and NEMA for their support to the state.
The Governor was represented by Malam Baba Malam-Wali, Secretary to the State Government who received the items on behalf of the state government. He said the gesture would go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of the flood victims.
The Executive Secretary of YOSEMA Dr. Muhammed Goje In his remarks said the 2022 flood affected about 31,000 persons in the State.
