The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was thrown into mourning following the death of Deputy Director Mallam Sanusi Ado. He died Sunday night in Kaduna after a brief illness.
According to a press release on Monday, 23rd October 2023 signed by the NEMA head of the Press Unit, Manzo Ezekiel, said late Sanusi Ado was a Deputy Director in the Department of Special Duties. He has also served in various other departments and capacities as Deputy Director of Relief and Rehabilitation, Deputy Director of Human Resources Management, and Head of NEMA Kano Territorial Office.
The news of Mallam Sanusi’s death jolted many staff as they expressed their grief and prayed for the repose of his soul.
The Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed, described the untimely death of the Deputy Director as shocking. He, on behalf of the management and staff of the Agency, commiserated with the family of the deceased over the sad loss. He also prayed for the repose of the Late Sanusi’s soul in eternal rest.
The remains of the late Mallam Sanusi Ado were laid to rest in Kaduna today Monday 23rd October, 2023 after funeral prayers according to Islamic injunction. The management of NEMA and staff were among the sympathizers who attended the burial rites. Mallam Sanusi will surely be missed by his numerous colleagues at NEMA and its partner Agencies.
