Nigeria Police Trust Fund Team Visits Kano State Police Command

A team from the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF), led by Executive Secretary Mr. Sheidu F. Mohammed visited the Kano State Police Command Monday.

According to a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the team’s primary objective was to conduct a needs assessment and identify areas for improvement.

The team members were accompanied by the Chairman House Committee on Police Affairs, Hon. Makki A. Yelleman, Member House of Representatives.

During the visit, the team interacted with members of the Command’s Management Team and inspected the Command’s Headquarters, including the clinic, detention facilities, and buildings.

In his remarks, Mr. Mohammed stated that the NPTF aims to equip police officers with modern tools, strategies, and knowledge to effectively address dynamic security situations in the country.

The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba thanked the NPTF team for their visit and appreciated their continuous support and cooperation. He also called for more collaborations.

A 5-day training workshop on kidnap, hostage negotiation, and ransom course was also declared open by the Executive Secretary at Chilla Guests Palace Kano. The workshop aims to enhance the operational capacity of police officers in the state.

The visit underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between the Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Police Trust Fund in advancing public safety and security.
