The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has shifted the date of its inaugural Public Relations, Reputation, Ideas, Concepts, and Excellence (PRICE) Awards and Prizes to January 25, 2026. The ceremony was initially scheduled for December 7, 2025.
According to a statement signed by Dr Omoniyi Ibietan, FNIPR, Vice Chairman of the National Planning Committee for the NIPR Annual PRICE Awards and Prizes 2025, the postponement became necessary to accommodate its key stakeholders, many of whom have already commenced Christmas engagements.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Israel Opayemi, urged stakeholders to take note of the new date and adjust their schedules accordingly. He said the event is designed to motivate professionals, practitioners, and scholars while advancing Nigeria’s standing in the global public relations arena and strengthening brand equity for all involved.

Opayemi reaffirmed the Committee’s commitment to delivering a best-in-class award administration and ceremony in January.
The PRICE Awards, conceptualised as a credible platform to recognise outstanding individuals, campaigns, and organisations within the public relations industry, reached a major milestone in September 2025 when NIPR President and Chairman of Council, Dr Ike Neliaku, inaugurated a 12-member committee to organise the maiden edition.
The committee’s inauguration followed the Council’s adoption of a technical team report that laid the foundation for the establishment of the awards.
