The Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo has refused an oral application for a stay of execution filed by the sacked product of an illegal Osun Local Government Election.
According to a press release on Friday, 2nd December 2022 signed by the Spokesperson to the Executive Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said that this is coming as Governor Ademola Adeleke warned against unlawful activities across the local governments and area councils.
The Federal High Court had thrown out the stay of execution this morning at the hearing.
The ruling had generated negative reactions from the opposition party and their legal functionaries with alleged incitement to violence even emanating from some members of the bar.
Governor Adeleke cautioned against any conduct or activities that may be inimical to the peace and progress of Osun state. He directed security agencies to ensure strict maintenance of law and order.
