Osun NSCDC Boss Urges Muslims To Use Ramadan To Pray For Nigeria

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja has, on behalf of the management, officers and men of the NSCDC Osun State Command, extended his hearty greetings to all Muslim faithful across the country, as they welcome this year’s holy month of Ramadan.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the State Command, (ASCII) Atanda Olabisi, on behalf of Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja urged Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to pray for peace in the country. The said he believes prayers will also to resolve the security challenges in the country, in addition to the unrelenting efforts of the country’s security agents to secure and rid the nation of all forms of criminalities.

Commandant Ocheja said this while addressing officers and men at the state headquarters, Ayepe, Osogbo in Osun state.

He charged the personnel to continue to synergize with other sister agencies in order to put an end to the spate of insecurity in the country, Ocheja stressed further that the fight against insecurity is a concerted efforts by everyone. Therefore, all hands must be on deck so we can achieve a stable and secure nation.

The Osun NSCDC boss, however, sent a wake-up call to all personnel to redouble their efforts to accompish
their responsibilities as enshrined in the NSCDC Acts. He said there is need for them to justify the confidence reposed in NSCDC.

Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja commended his management team and other committed personnel saying that “your input and dedication to duty has made the Corps to achieve the enviable feat in the country, I want to tell you that your efforts are not going unnoticed.”

He charged them to be more proactive in intelligence gathering as Osun gubernatorial election draws near. He said security thrives on proactive intelligence, there is need to be closer to members of the public, the civil nature of NSCDC makes members of the public to feel free in relating with the personnel and this makes intelligence gathering very easy for the Corps.
