The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami received in audience, the top management of MTN Nigeria, led by the Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Ernest C. Ndukwe.
The main aim of the working visit was to introduce the CEO Designate of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Karl Toriola to Dr. Pantami, and also pledge commitment to the MTN Nigeriazation Agenda.
In his remarks, the MTN CEO designate commended Dr. Pantami for the leadership he is providing in the sector which has already led to the development of the National Broadband Plan 2020 – 2025 and the ongoing NIN-SIM Linkage Exercise.
On his part, Dr. Pantami pledged the commitment of the Federal Government to provide the enabling environment for the telecommunications sector to thrive, assuring that the federal government will not come up with policies that will stifle development in the sector.
