PCRC Lauds Force PRO, CSP Adejobi Support To CDHR Human Rights Efforts

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) on Thursday commended the Force Public Relations Officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, for his contributions towards enhancing growth and development in public service, humanity, and respect for Human rights.

PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Aramide Olaniyan gave the commendation when he led the PCRC National Executives and his team members on a courtesy visit to the office of the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations after the flag-off ceremony of the (PCRC) National Women and Youths Sensitization Summit on peaceful, free and fair 2023 General Elections at Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Aramide Olaniyan described CSP Adejobi as an exceptional police image maker and a leader who had deployed his knowledge and experience in public relations to the growth and development of the police force, serving in various capacities under the administration of IGP Usman Alkali Baba.

He said the civic acceptance of the serving IGP was a testament of the IGP exceptional leadership qualities and development strides towards the advancement of good policing in the country.

“We are grateful for you active contribution to humanity, you have consider and respect human right and we cannot overlook this professionalism”, he said.

In his word, the National Vice Chairman North Central, Alhaji Tanko Dada equally lauded the Force PRO’s humanitarian efforts and immense contributions to the growth of Police Force through different Sensitization videos which has improved the image of Police force in Nigeria.

Accordingly, all the National Executive members of PCRC applauded Olumuyiwa Adejobi for his loyalty, patience and perseverance.

The climax of the visit includes the presentation of Committee For the Defence of Human Right CDHR Bannerette to CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi for exhibiting act of professionalism, enlightenment programmes o National TV, engaging Nigerians on social media and act of gallantry.

SpyeTV News reports that Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) is a voluntary community policing-based organization established by the Leadership of Nigeria Police Force since 1984. The primary aim is to foster a partnership between the Police and the community with a view to enhance efficient and effective policing of communities.

Members of this noble organization are drawn from all strata of the society without religious, political, tribal or gender restrictions. It is a platform for everyone to be involve in the security architecture of communities with police and other security outfits as Partners.

It is structured along Police formations such as Divisions, Area commands, State commands, and Zonal commands up to National components. Membership has grown above Fifty (50) thousands distinguished community leaders across the nooks and crannies of the nation.

It has effectively been creating opportunities for the policing actors and the citizens to interacts and as such help to reduce crime and criminalities in the society, pragmatic and effective community policing movement in Nigeria.

Consequently, the PCRC involves in intelligent information gathering and dissemination to appropriate Police/Security authorities, provide logistics, medicals, moral and material support for the Police and other security agencies as much as possible.

PCRC among many other things, engages in Advocacy, Capacity building, Workshops, Seminars, Public Enlightenment /Campaign and more importantly Police Public image laundering with a view to improve the confidence of the Public in the ability of the Nigeria Police to secure the communities.

They often collaborate with organizations/individuals/government agencies with such passion for improved security of lives and property in the society.

All responsible and good citizens willing to contribute to the peace and security of the nation are eligible to join this noble organization through the nearest police formation.
