The Police Operatives attached to ‘A’ Police Division Makurdi on Tuesday, 11th April 2023 received a report was received an information that one Kelvin Iorfa aged 59 years assaulted his younger sister Miss Nguwasen Iorfa about four days ago, and a video was made to that effect.
According to a press release signed by the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Anene Sewuese Catherine said that the suspect was arrested immediately.
She further said that in his statement, the suspect confessed that he had a heated argument with his younger sister which provoked him to beat her up that much.
“Efforts are being made to reach the victim who is said to have gone out of reach since the incident, SP. Catherine said.
She however said that the Benue State Police Commissioner, CP. Wale Abass has ordered a detailed investigation into the case to unravel the condition and location of the victim.
The CP also commends members of the public for efforts made to reach the police on the case as the suspect is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
