Based on a complaint lodged at Nasarawa Division by one Aisha Usman of Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa on 23rd February 2024, that she parked her vehicle, a red Toyota Corolla with registration number NSW 949 PJ at the premises of Government Day Secondary, by Nasarawa Main market and later discovered it has been taken away, the Nasarawa State has arrested the culprit.
In a statement on Sunday, 25th February 2024 signed by Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that upon receipt of the complaint, a manhunt was launched to arrest the suspect and recover the stolen vehicle.
The statement read, “The effort paid off when one Yusuf Isah ‘M’ of Koton Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State was intercepted by well-meaning members of the public along up overseas road.
“Consequently, the Police were called upon, and the suspect was arrested, and the vehicle was recovered from him as an exhibit.
“While commending members of the public for their support, the commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni assures them of the Command’s unwavering commitment to their safety, the statement concluded.
