Police Arrest Two Suspected Robbers In Jigawa

Police in Jigawa State have arrested suspected armed robbers terrorising the state.

Police Public Relations Officer, Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Lawan S. Adam, disclosed this in Dutse in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement said, “Police operatives, on the 7th of March 2024, in collaboration with local security, based on intelligence, carried out a raid at the Dangoli Fulani Camp, Kiyawa Local Government, Jigawa State and arrested one Musa Babangida ‘m’ 18yrs and one Bello Usman ‘m’ 20yrs.

“Two (2) AK-47 rifles were recovered from the suspects with 68 rounds of live ammunition, 4 magazines, one leg chain, one boxer motorcycle, 8 mobile phones, 8 spare batteries, 5 SIM cards, one portable solar panel, an international Apassport and a cash sum of Two Hundred and Twenty One A, Five Hundred and Ten Naira (N221,510). The suspects had been involved in many deadly armed robbery operations, which led to many killings.
