The Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, CP Okoro Julius Alawari has today ordered the unsealing of the 17 Local Government Council Secretariats across the State.
According to a press release signed by the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, said that the CP while in a closed-door meeting with relevant stakeholders, stated that the 17 Local Government Council Secretariats would be reopened for Local Government personnel to go in and carry out their duties. However, the offices of the Local Government Chairmen remain sealed pending the determination of the case by the court. The Commissioner, therefore, advised all aggrieved parties to pursue their case in court.
He also went further to order all the men stationed at the secretariat gates to withdraw and restrict themselves only to the offices of the Local Government Chairmen.
On this note, the Commissioner of Police, CP Okoro Julius Alawari warns that security operatives would deal decisively with any person or group of persons who may want to cause a bridge of the peace currently being enjoyed on the Plateau in accordance with the laws of the land.
The CP further assures the good and peace-loving citizens of the State of our commitment to maintaining the security of the State by ensuring the protection of the lives and properties of all citizens.
