The Integrity Youth Alliance has said that the Nigeria Police Force never launched a smear campaign against Omoyele Sowore.
Responding to a publication titled “Nigeria Police Posting Egregious Discussions Against Me Because I Cannot Condone Corruption, Extortion, Torture, Abuse Of Nigerians –Sowore”, the Director of Publicity of the Alliance, Danjuma Lamido, said that Omoyele Sowore is just an attention seeker who still thinks he is the President of a students’ union
“Our investigations indicated that the Nigeria police do not have any “Nigeria Police WhatsApp Platform, as falsely published by Sahara Reporters. The so-called message published by Sahara Reporters is the personal opinion of whosoever posted the information in his or her whatsapp group, Lamido said.
“We are surprised that a man that lacks decorum and credence could say that he cannot condone corruption, extortion, torture, or abuse of Nigerians.”
“We want to tell Sowore and his cohorts that the Nigeria police under IGP Kayode Egbetokun are not as corrupt and inhumane as made believe by the mischievous failed “Human rights activist,” Omoyele Sowore.
In conclusion, the Alliance said that the Nigeria police are already undergoing adequate reform under IGP Egbetokun and don’t need lip service “police reform” from mischievous failed “Human rights activist” Omoyele Sowore.
